My little sister is having her first child in a few months and wanted to decorate some onsies for Baby D (they don’t know what they are having). We spent this Saturday stamping on 10 onsies (which was wonderful because she lives 2 hours away so we don’t see each other as often as I’d like to). It was a lot of fun and they turned out great!
Supplies: Great Impressions- D341 (monkey), E352 (mouse on tube), imaginisce snag’ems- giraffe, frog, panda, bird, hippo, Craft smart- bunny, Stamp Craft- teddy bear, We R Memory Keepers- hippity hoppity- buzzz. Other: onsies, iron, freezer paper, ColorBox Chalks ink pads.

Ok, so I have seen Dawn McVey build these flowers from paper punches and have been wanting to try them for months. I finally tried it out and I had so much fun making the yellow one that I decided to make 5 more in different colors. I am always in need of birthday cards and thought it would be nice to have some on hand when I don’t have time to make them. I think I might make up a bunch of the flowers to have on hand to make card making go a bit faster too. These would be perfect to make while watching Greys Anatomy
This is the first one I made. I used my EK success punches 1 3/4, 1 1/2, 1 1/4 and 1″ circle punches. I inked the edges in a darker shade of yellow and then crumpled them up and unfolded them. I glued the circles together and added a button with PTI twine for the center. The border punch is Martha Stewart and the leaves are Stampendous - Sunny Flowers that I stamped and cut out. Sentiment is TCP Studio-Greetings.
Here’s a close up of the flower. Makes me think of spring!
Here’s another set of cards I made to have on hand. I needed three and didn’t have much time so I made about 10 of these since they were quick and I really liked how they turned out. I used box of dots by Hero Arts and the sentiment is the same as above.
Here’s some masculine birthday cards I made to keep on hand. I gave one to my 15 year old cousin and one to a co-worker. Again clean and simple and very happy with the look. I used Hero arts- snippets and the sentiment is also Hero arts- for him.
Here’s a card I made for my cousin’s daughter. The sketch was from the pink elephant challenge from last week. Image is imaginisce and paper was in my stash. Rhinestone from Queen and company.
Well that’s all for now. What did you think? I’d love to read your comments. Thanks for looking and enjoy your Saturday!

Well, with wind-chills hitting between 30-40 below we have no school today. I decided to use this cold day to catch up on my blogging. I am showing everything that I have done in the past two months. I am hoping to start getting more regular with this blog…may only be weekly. There are several posts before this one so take a look. Some of the images are sideways and not of great quality…sorry for that. Thanks for looking and stay warm
For Christmas I got the Epic 6 and some Nestabilities and of course I had to play with them ;) The dog images are Inkadinkado and are attached to some yummy chocolates. I thought these would be fun to have in my classroom and I could give them to coworkers as needed :) The other cards are for coworkers birthdays…there are a lot this month! I unfortunately forgot to snap pics of these before giving them away. Thankful I text them to my sister almost every time I make them, so you are getting the cell phone pic.

Here are some things we made for Christmas. I am so bummed that the pictures are bad because the towel turned out great! We do something every Christmas for my son’s teachers and this year I decided to have him make his present for them. I started off with buying flour sack towels. I washed them and ironed them. Then I stamped these awesome ornament images from Bo Bunny onto the towel using Colorbox Chalk charcoal. I then heat set them with my iron. Then to help Tanner out I stamped the same images again on freezer paper and cut the insides out of them. I lined them up on the towel and ironed them onto it. This way as Tanner colored in the ornaments (with Crayola fabric markers) and went out of the lines, it went onto the freezer paper instead of the towel. Next I peeled off all of the freezer paper and heat set them again according to the box of markers. I re-ironed the towels and folded them, putting them into these boxes that I made using cs and transparencies. I tied wide white grosgrain ribbon around them and attached the snowflake tag. The tag read to: and from: and he wrote his name on each one. I used the same tags to attached to all the goodie bags he was giving his classmates. The bags had candy, candy canes, a pencil and a little pad of paper I wiped up. The pad picture was taken with my cell phone. I hope you can see it ok. Thanks for looking

Here is a gift bag and notebook that I altered for my niece for her birthday. I also made this little 3×3 card. The bag is a lunch bag that I cut down with my cutterpede scallop edged blade. I also stamped the tissue paper with ColorBox chalk rouge ink and the castle stamp. The images are all by imaginisce- fairest of them all collection-carriage, crown and castle. I used Stazon jet black ink. The little images on the altered notebook along with the letters are from EK Success- DSP001 Princess ABC (Disney). Ribbon is from the Paper Studio. Rhinestones are by Queen & Co.

Here’s a little something I whipped up yesterday for my cousin. She just had a baby boy on Thursday and I wanted to bring something up to the hospital with us. I stamped the frog onto a large mailing label and cut on the inside line. Then I peeled it off and stuck it onto the prewashed onsie. Next I sponged on lime pastel ink. I let it dry for a few minutes before peeling the label off. Then I stamped the frog in blue iris and stamped in over the green frog. I left it to dry while I created the bag and card. Then I threw it into the dryer on heavy high for over 30 minutes to heat set the ink, which makes it permanent. Next, I ran my embossing gun over the image to to ensure that the ink was set. The bag came from Wal-Mart in their gift section. I cut about 3 1/2 inches off of the top using my deckle cutterpede blade. The tag I sponged with lime pastel ink, then stamped the sentiment in blue iris. I used my tag maker for this. The ribbon came form my local scrapbook store. The card is 3×3. I used the wax paper from the label as a mask to color the frog and bag the same way as the onsie. The blue twine is from the local scrapbook store too. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.
Supplies: all stamps are snag’em by imaginisce (frog and birth announcement), all inks are from the ColorBox Petal Point chalk- primary pastel, blue bag from Wal-Mart, onsie, tag and tag maker by making memories, ribbon from local scrapbook store.

So here is a little project I worked on last weekend. My sister’s friend is expecting a baby and they don’t know what they are having so it needed to stay neutral. The nursery is done in mint greens and browns so that is where the inspiration for the colors came from. Her baby shower was yesterday and this was part of the gift for her. All the cs is from HL in there single sheet selections. The brown is textured cs. The mint green I embossed with vanilla ZING! embossing powder. The dots are from MS clear backgrounds set (can you tell I like this stamp :). The giraffe is from imaginisce and was colored with chalks. I cut the circles using my creative memories circle cutting system. The ribbons are by the paper studio, they came from Hobby Lobby too. The sentiment has no company name on it. I picked it up years ago at my local Scrapbook store when they were having a stamp swap. The box I made for the cards only uses one piece of 12×12 paper. The box holds 8 cards and 8 matching envelopes. I used magnets for the closure on the box. Thanks for looking.

Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t posted in 4 days! We have been pretty busy around here getting ready for school to start up again
Here are some things that I have created in the last couple of days. I hope you enjoy them. This card I made for the SCS challenge SC239, a sketch challenge. If you have not been to Splitcoaststampers before, you have to check it out. There is a link in my sidebar. I made this card using the scraps I had from the bridal party cards I made for my sister. The image was colored with Sharpies. The image is called Blossoms and it’s a Snag’em clear stamp from imaginisce.
I made this little bag of goodies for a friend. Our boys had swimming lessons together and the last week we didn’t get to go because Tanner injured his ear and had to stay out of the water. She kept updating his swim teacher and then grabbed his certificate on the last day of lessons for us. I thought this would be a fun way to show her my appreciation! This little bag is made from an envelope. I stamped the candy all over it and colored them in with sharpies. To prevent bleeding I cut down a 4×6 index card so it would fit into the envelope, then colored in the images. I used my Cutterpede scallop blade for the top design. Make sure you score your envelope before stamping it
I forgot to do that step first on this one and that’s why the many thanks is so close to the bottom and right edge of the bag. This bag is holding 6 of the covered Hershey’s nuggets. I stamped the images on address labels and then wrapped them around it. The images are from Studio G clear stamps that I got in Michael’s Crafts dollar bins awhile back. The card is 2×2 and I attached it to the bag using an office clip so that it would work for Thursdays challenge at SCS WT229. Then I tied a piece of red ribbon around one side of the metal piece.
