This is the package I made for my sister-in-law’s birthday. I have used up all of my birthday papers and am using only this brown craft paper. I love being able to create the design of the paper. I also figure that when this is gone I can start using brown paper bags from the store as another way to recycle them.
Sorry these images are small and that the red one is sideways. My camera settings were switched to low quality for a post we put on Craig’s List…and they weren’t put back! So I have almost 300 pictures of poor quality…so bummed. Any way, the first one is a package I decorated for my nephew’s birthday. The second one is a card for a co-worker. I made one with this same image for my mom but didn’t get a picture of it :( I colored the image in with a Copic…just starting buying these and all I can say is WOW…what a marker.

A co-worker was married over Labor Day weekend. Some of the gals and I decided to get her a little something. This is the gift card holder that I made for it. I saw this probably a year or two ago and don’t have the URL but I loved the sketch of it. IF memory serves, it was done with a Christmas theme. I used black and white cs. I stamped the swirl pattern onto the white cs using a colorbox wheel, silver wedge. The stamp is from the clear set extravagant flourish by Scrappy Cat. The Mr. and Mrs. image is by and inked in stazon jet black. The ribbon was in my stash and I know it came from Michael’s) The congratulations stamp is by Kolette Hall. Thanks for looking and letting me know what you think.

Sunday was my dad’s birthday and I made him some of his favorite candy. I created the boxes for his sweet treats to go in. I created the printed paper by stamping the circle print in alternating colors of blue and gray. Then I came back and added color with a dot stamp in orange and red. I scored my kraft paper after decorated. Then I centered my oval cutter in the middle of the lid and made the window. I cut a larger oval out of transparency paper and adhered that to the inside, creating this window. The small box utilizes an entire sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper and the large box uses a whole 12×12 sheet. I wrapped them with twine and added a button (both from Papertrey ink). I hand wrote enjoy on the blue oval and used a glue dot to attach it to the box. My dad liked the boxes… because of what was inside them, of course

I’m back. My sister-in-law started her new job today. I had wanted to get this made yesterday and dropped off to her but it didn’t work out. Here is the card I made her which is also for the SCS challenge IC191. We were to find inspiration from the website Heavenly Hostess. Here was my inspiration http://www.heavenlyhostess.com/aprons_blackzinnia.html I love the way the colors pop from the black background. I stamped the background paper using a variety of stamps from my new Circles and Dots set by INKADINKADO. Ink pads are by Anna Griffin, the Darcey Collection. I cut a small piece of the pp and matted it onto green paper. Then I cut a rectangle of black cs and white cs. I stamped Congratulations (by Kolette Hall) in stazon jet black ink. I put a red square brad inside the red felt flower (both in my stash of goodies along with the black and white poke-a-dot ribbon). I used Tombo mono adhesive to put it all together. Here is a candy dish that I tied a ribbon around and filled with Dove carmel chocolates for her office. Thanks for looking.
This is the printed paper I created.
Here is the card.
This is the candy jar. They all look better in person. For some reason my pics are really dark, sorry about that.
