My hubby and I celebrated 7 years of marriage this week. Here is the card I made for him. Our wedding was all around the fall theme…leaves, fall colors (our colors were orange and blue…kind of a navy ). He even sent flowers to the school for me that were orange and blue :) Anyway, I used the sketch from Sweet Sunday (SSSc37) http://kgiron.blogspot.com/ for my card. If you haven’t been to her blog you really must check it out. I love her sketches. The cs is from HL and the paper is the Paper studio…can you tell I do a lot of shopping at Hobby Lobby ;). The leaves are from inkadinkado- 97513 Fall season…got these from Michael’s. The happy anniversary stamp is jg deni for studio g. The button and twine are from Papertrey Ink. I used a fingernail file to sand all the edges of the papers to give it a rougher look and to kind of match the distressed look of the pp. I also used Colorbox chalk chestnut roan and pumpkin spice.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Here’s a little something I whipped up yesterday for my cousin. She just had a baby boy on Thursday and I wanted to bring something up to the hospital with us. I stamped the frog onto a large mailing label and cut on the inside line. Then I peeled it off and stuck it onto the prewashed onsie. Next I sponged on lime pastel ink. I let it dry for a few minutes before peeling the label off. Then I stamped the frog in blue iris and stamped in over the green frog. I left it to dry while I created the bag and card. Then I threw it into the dryer on heavy high for over 30 minutes to heat set the ink, which makes it permanent. Next, I ran my embossing gun over the image to to ensure that the ink was set. The bag came from Wal-Mart in their gift section. I cut about 3 1/2 inches off of the top using my deckle cutterpede blade. The tag I sponged with lime pastel ink, then stamped the sentiment in blue iris. I used my tag maker for this. The ribbon came form my local scrapbook store. The card is 3×3. I used the wax paper from the label as a mask to color the frog and bag the same way as the onsie. The blue twine is from the local scrapbook store too. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.
Supplies: all stamps are snag’em by imaginisce (frog and birth announcement), all inks are from the ColorBox Petal Point chalk- primary pastel, blue bag from Wal-Mart, onsie, tag and tag maker by making memories, ribbon from local scrapbook store.

A co-worker was married over Labor Day weekend. Some of the gals and I decided to get her a little something. This is the gift card holder that I made for it. I saw this probably a year or two ago and don’t have the URL but I loved the sketch of it. IF memory serves, it was done with a Christmas theme. I used black and white cs. I stamped the swirl pattern onto the white cs using a colorbox wheel, silver wedge. The stamp is from the clear set extravagant flourish by Scrappy Cat. The Mr. and Mrs. image is by and inked in stazon jet black. The ribbon was in my stash and I know it came from Michael’s) The congratulations stamp is by Kolette Hall. Thanks for looking and letting me know what you think.

The couch and sentiments are from Papertrey Ink. I paper pieced the couched. The twine is from Papertrey Ink. The cs and pp came from HL. The pp is made by My Minds Eye, Penny Lane, moving dots. I stamped the flower with Colorbox chalk wisteria and the stems are in lime pastel. The dot paper was from the same stack as the other card. The ribbon is also the same as the other card too.

Here is a birthday card that I made for our school librarian. I took a picture with the chocolate nuggets that I give out with each card. The bird image is from the set birds galore by inkadinkado. The ribbon was in my stash. I think I picked it up from Michaels. I used colorbox chalk ink. The bird is lipstick red and the edging is blue iris.
I just stamp the Happy Birthday image on an address label and wrap it around a nugget of chocolate. Who wouldn’t want to get to pieces of chocolate on their birthday?
The birthday stamp is a clear $1 set from Studio g (Kolette Hall series 24).

So here is a little project I worked on last weekend. My sister’s friend is expecting a baby and they don’t know what they are having so it needed to stay neutral. The nursery is done in mint greens and browns so that is where the inspiration for the colors came from. Her baby shower was yesterday and this was part of the gift for her. All the cs is from HL in there single sheet selections. The brown is textured cs. The mint green I embossed with vanilla ZING! embossing powder. The dots are from MS clear backgrounds set (can you tell I like this stamp :). The giraffe is from imaginisce and was colored with chalks. I cut the circles using my creative memories circle cutting system. The ribbons are by the paper studio, they came from Hobby Lobby too. The sentiment has no company name on it. I picked it up years ago at my local Scrapbook store when they were having a stamp swap. The box I made for the cards only uses one piece of 12×12 paper. The box holds 8 cards and 8 matching envelopes. I used magnets for the closure on the box. Thanks for looking.

Good afternoon everyone, today I have a card that covers three challenges. I used Sweet Sundays sketch (sssc36). The Belli challenge at Pile It On is to make a card with a Halloween theme. At at SCS Friday’s LSC238 challenge was to use spooky colors on your card. I know I said I was going to make birthday cards for the challenges, but I couldn’t resist making this card for these three challenges. I fixed my comment box so now anyone can leave a comment. I’d like to hear what you think. Have a great Sunday.
There’s a bit of a shadow on the picture…we have have cloudy skies here today
Supplies: spooky dots from the Paper Studio, Trick or Treat fashion pack colors from the Paper company, ghosts and goblins sentiment and the ghost image are from Katie &co. for studio g by Hampton arts. I just love their $1 stamps when Michael’s get s them in. A pop dot for the ghost, K&Company wackytac for adhesive. I used my 2 5/16 scallop punch from the paper studio and my 2 1/8 in square punch from Marvy Uchida. I used jet black ink from Stazon.

Here is the card I made for the PPA8. I also made it for a co-worker for her birthday. I have made it my personal goal to make a birthday card for every co-worker in our school. I started in September and I think we have had 10 or so birthdays. I need several for October too. I have decided that whenever I participate in a challenge I will make a birthday card so hopefully I will have a stash built up again. Plus, then I have to participate since the card is needed for work, right…:) The purple background paper was in my stash. I got it several years ago in one of the paper stacks for Christmas. The flower like image is from a newer set of my by American Craft-clear stamp sentiments, which I am loving! I stamped it several times across the white cs. Our local HL is carrying them and there are several more sets that I wouldn’t mind picking up. I stamped the image with Colorbox chalk wisteria. It’s a petal point set, primary pastels. The butterfly is from my bridgeport set by s.e.i. I stamped the solid butterfly in blue and the detailed butterfly in the same purple again. The blue is from Colorbox Paintbox chalk- ocean breeze and the color is ice blue. The ribbon came from HL in their floral section. I used my corner rounder for the white cs. Then I used my 1 7/16 scallop punch on the purple cs from HL and my 1 1/4 circle punch on the butterfly. This was a very quick and easy card to make. What do you think, I ‘d love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for looking and have a great Saturday.

The card also meets the Color Challenge 236 on SCS which are pretty in pink, soft suede and whisper white. The third challenge is for ssnotime105. You can only stamp your image in black or brown ink…no color. I used Colorbox chalk chestnut roan. THe image is from Inkadinkado- Stamp it, girlfriend. I used white and pink cs along with the pp that was in my scrap box. The ribbon is from American crafts. The brad was also in my stash of goodies. The inside sentiment is from Printworks-clearly defined.
