Wedding

img_6777.JPGMy cousin had her wedding reception a few weeks ago.  I made two cards for her.  One was from my sister and I and the other was from my mom.  I created the printed paper stamping the image with color box silver ink onto white cs.  The image is from the sei bridgeport clear stamp set.  I used my scalloped cutterpede blade on the black cs.  I made the silver cs rectangle by stamping it with the silver ink along all edges.  Mr. and Mrs. stamp is from savvystamps and I used stazon jet black ink.

Congrats on becoming a Grandma!

Birthdays

We have a birthday party for our cousins kids tonight. Here is the card I made for their 16 (I think :) ) year old boy.

The money holder was made by adhering a strip of blue cs to the inside of the card. I then put a strip of poke-a-dot paper over it and added a staple to two opposite corners. The pictures below are the card and gift I made for their three year daughter. I had this baby paper in my wrapping stash. I don’t use it because it has a defect going through the middle of the paper throughout the entire roll. Instead of recycling I opted to reuse it. I flipped it over and stamped the happy birthday image all over it using colorbox chalk rouge.

Then I decided to use the card I made as part of the packaging rather than sticking it in an envelope.

What do you think? I challenge you to find something to reuse before having it going into your recycling bin. I’d love to see what you create…share it in the comments section. Thanks for looking.

Ahh…

My brother just fixed everything in 10 minutes and transfered everything from my old blog to this new one!  Thanks Mike :)  I am trying to set up my new blog at wordpress (that was a gift from my brother and his family)and I am getting no where. I was hoping to have it done today and to have the link for you so you could start visiting me there. Since I have been unsuccessful for the last two+ hours I am giving up for now and posting some of my stuff here. Thanks for listening to my frustrations. Here are the two pregnancy cards that I uploaded over there but they will only upload in the full-size. The first one is for my cousin, they are having a girl! The second one is for a co-worker. Not knowing what they are having I went for a fun, gender neutral color scheme. Thanks for looking.

Trying to get this figured out

card for co-worker

My brother to the rescue again!  He figured out how to reize the images fro me and took care of these so enjoy!  I am sorry that the pictures are so large.  I cannot figure out how to make them smaller.  I will keep trying and thank you for your patience.  Here’s the second pregnancy card.  I don’t know what they are having so I went for a fun gender neutral color scheme.

Back in the routine of things

card for cousincard for cousinHello All,

I think I am finally back into the routine of things.  I know I have not blogged in several weeks.  School has started back up and I have been busy with getting back into my classroom, attending staff trainings and getting the first week of school down…whoo hoo!!!  I have been creating during these three weeks, just haven’t been able to squeek in the time to share it all with you.  I am hoping to get everything posted today and get my new blog up and rolling as well.  You will see several different posts so that they can all go into their own categories.  First up are two cards that I made for expecting moms.  This first card is for my cousin who is having a baby girl!

I’ll give it a try…

This is a test of Stacy’s Rantings.

Hello world!

Ouchie Dragon

So, two weeks ago my niece rode her bike down their front steps and had to get a staple in the back of her head. Then last week on a trip to Menards she fell down the metal stairs and split her lip open, requiring it to be glued. We decided she could use a little cheering up so here is a treat bag I made her. I stamped the envelope with versamark using a background stamp from Martha Stwearts backgrounds. Then I cut the top off with my zigzag cutterpede. I filled the back with tropical Mike and Ikes. This adorable ouchie dragon is a digital image from Dustin Pike (site on my side bar). I colored it in using sharpies.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Sunday was my dad’s birthday and I made him some of his favorite candy. I created the boxes for his sweet treats to go in. I created the printed paper by stamping the circle print in alternating colors of blue and gray. Then I came back and added color with a dot stamp in orange and red. I scored my kraft paper after decorated. Then I centered my oval cutter in the middle of the lid and made the window. I cut a larger oval out of transparency paper and adhered that to the inside, creating this window. The small box utilizes an entire sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper and the large box uses a whole 12×12 sheet. I wrapped them with twine and added a button (both from Papertrey ink). I hand wrote enjoy on the blue oval and used a glue dot to attach it to the box. My dad liked the boxes… because of what was inside them, of course ;)

I also made him a matching card. What do you think? Thanks for looking and have a wonderful Wednesday :)
